Position Overview:
Ferrum College is seeking a highly organized and student-focused Enrollment Events Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of campus visits and recruitment events. This position plays a critical role in introducing prospective students and families to Ferrum College’s student-centered community and mission through exceptional hospitality and personalized engagement. In addition to managing daily visits and large-scale events, this position supports the office administratively, oversees student employment within Admissions, and serves as a central point of communication for inquiries and campus connections.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Plan, coordinate, and manage all prospective student visits to campus, including individual tours, group visits, open house programs, and specialized admissions events.
● Serve as the primary contact for scheduling and confirming visit appointments, ensuring a smooth and personalized experience for each guest.
● Support enrollment growth initiatives by contributing to visit-to-application and application-to-deposit conversion efforts through intentional follow-up and personalized engagement.
● Track and report visit conversion metrics including inquiry-to-visit, visit-to-application, and visit-to- deposit outcomes.
● Manage the Admissions Office phone line and email account, providing prompt and professional responses to inquiries from prospective students, families, and school counselors.
● Operate and oversee the main campus switchboard, directing incoming calls and facilitating communication across departments.
● Collaborate with admissions counselors, faculty, coaches, and campus partners to build engaging and informative visit itineraries.
● Lead the recruitment, training, mentorship, scheduling, and performance management of Panther Ambassador tour guides to ensure a high-quality and engaging campus visit experience.
● Handle all logistics for campus events including venue reservations, catering, signage, printed materials, technology needs, and guest accommodations.
● Maintain detailed visit records and communication data using the CRM system; analyze feedback and reporting to improve experiences.
● Provide daily administrative support to the Office of Admissions, including data entry, filing, ordering supplies, mailings, and coordinating office functions.
● Assist with general admissions initiatives and represent Ferrum College at select on- and off-campus recruitment events.
● Collaborate with Enrollment Leadership to evaluate event effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and feedback
● Assist in developing and executing visit-related communication campaigns through CRM and texting platforms.
● Other duties as assigned
● Additional Responsibilities: The role may include other duties as assigned to support the overall operations and mission of the college. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as responsibilities may evolve based on institutional needs.
● Work Autonomy: This position is classified as exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and requires the ability to perform duties independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision while meeting organizational goals and expectations.
Qualifications:
Required:
● Bachelors degree.
● Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
● Valid driver’s license.
● Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without accommodation.

● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills.
● Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
